It's that time of year again, we are gearing up for the holidays which takes plenty of planning, and let's face it, plenty of PATIENCE!!
Mini Sessions are back and they are a perfect offering for anyone wanting a quick in and quick out session! 20 minutes and you are DONE! Easy Peasy!!!
Recently I had a client ask me, "So what exactly is a mini session and why would anyone bother booking anything else?"
Well, that is a great question, and one that I would like to clarify.
Mini Sessions were created to fill a need. They are perfect for the families who are busy, don't have time to think about what to do or where to go, but want to make sure they document their families for the year so they can share them with their friends and relatives for the holiday season.
Mini Sessions are an easy choice. The rate is reduced, the job gets done, the family is happy.
BUT....a mini session may not be for you if you want to choose your own location, have a greater variety of images and receive all the images as opposed to just a few.
Mini sessions are quick and include the family together some with the kids and some with the parents. It's one location, no moving around and you only receive a few images and these sessions do not include dance, headshots or group shots.
A Regular session, on the other hand is perfect if you want to make sure you get all your images from the session. You also get to choose your location and time that best fits your family. There is usually more variety of images as you have a set amount of time to walk around and get different looks during your session. (outfit changes are not included in this session, but can be added on).
If you have small children who need time to warm up or you want multiple looks during a session, then the full session is a great choice. It also gives you freedom to choose a location
Also, if you have a hard time picking and choosing just a few images from your session,which thankfully, most of my clients do, then the full session makes it easy for your because it includes the images from the session.
Other sessions offered are specialized sessions. This would include musical instruments, or dancers or performers. If you are looking for headshots, and outfit changes, you will go with the dance session. Dance sessions (named because I do a LOT of dancers) can be longer sessions with outfit changes and location changes. The sessions start basic but can be added on to.

Additions could include, adding siblings, location changes, makeup, hair, renting my costumes or dresses, etc.
